Theatre visits
We've had two excellent visits
to the Theatre so far this year - Alan Bennett's 'Enjoy' was enjoyed,
just read Margaret Burlinson's review in the April Newsletter, and the
nostalgia trip of 'We'll Meet Again' pleased those who went to the
packed Theatre Royal.
The
Theatre Group's next visit is to Shakespeare's 'Much Ado
About Nothing'
at Stamford Open Air Theatre on Wednesday August 11th.
(Click here to download a plot
overview in PDF format.)
Tickets cost £11.00.
The
coach - once again we will be using the Kirkby Community
Bus - will cost £12. (Total - £23 p.p., including a tip for the driver.)
The coach will leave the Odeon car park at 4.30 pm. to allow plenty of
time for relaxing there.
Please pay for both on one cheque to Mansfield and District U3A at the
meeting in May. (Tickets in exchange for a £23 cheque!)
Don't
forget -
take a picnic 'high tea' to Stamford, plus chairs, rugs and cushions!
And, of course, macs and umbrellas! Last year's weather was so good
that we've got to perform some kind of sun-dance to ensure it comes
back. |
Please note:
Contact Mike Allen, the Theatre Visits co-ordinator, (tel: 653345) for
any further information or to order tickets.
All payments to the co-ordinator at the monthly meetings, or to his
home address by the
date given at that meeting.
Cheques payable to 'Mansfield & District U3A' unless otherwise
informed.
Arrangements can be made with the co-ordinator to be picked up at
Walkden Street in
Mansfield instead of the Odeon Car Park, or at any bus stop on the
route.
