December No walk this month. Christmas Break -

Mansfield U3A strollers at Hardwick Lakes John Hallsworth
At Hardwick Lakes

It was a very pleasant morning as a group of 15 or so strollers went strolling around the lakes and ponds of the National Trust's Harwick Hall. The sun was pleasantly warm as we took in the wooden sculptures, the abundant wild life and the scenic views, strolling round the waters edges.

There was the odd detour as we investigated the habitat of the rare and rarely seen water vole. Suffice to say we didn't see one!! From then on it was back to the start of the journey at The Hardwick Inn, some to journey homeward, others to take refreshment, a drink and a bite to eat.
