Strollers
Programme
JANUARY TO NOVEMBER 2012 |
Mansfield U3A's Strollers Group do short easy walks of
about 2 miles in length, avoiding stiles and steep hills.
It is a good way to improve your health and to make new friends.
At the end of the walk, there is an opportunity to have coffee, tea and
refreshments.
Walks are the second Wednesday in the month, starting at 10.30am.

At Hardwick Lakes
It
was a very pleasant morning as a group of 15 or so strollers went
strolling around the lakes and ponds of the National Trust's Harwick
Hall. The sun was pleasantly warm as we took in the wooden sculptures,
the abundant wild life and the scenic views, strolling round the waters
edges.
There was the odd detour as we investigated the habitat of the rare and
rarely seen water vole. Suffice to say we didn't see one!! From then on
it was back to the start of the journey at The Hardwick Inn, some to
journey homeward, others to take refreshment, a drink and a bite to eat.
