| Art Appreciation | A monthly meeting to share our interest in Western Art. We look at individual works of art, favourite artists and artistic movements, and enjoy gallery visits. |

| Bridge for Beginners
| Bridge sessions last for about 2 hours once a month. The group is now full, with a waiting list. Small admission charge.

 | Chat and Stitch | Come and enjoy a leisurely friendly afternoon, sharing ideas, sewing, knitting or chatting while enjoying tea or coffee. (Small admission charge). |
 | Current Affairs | Each member brings along items of news that have interested them over the past month. The discussions invariably become very lively but are always friendly. (Small admission charge). |

| Cycling
| Occasional not-too-strenuous rides near Mansfield during the summer.

 | Digital World | A new group for members interested in any aspect of digital technology from snaps on a point-and-shoot camera to serious work with DSLRs, image editing, effects, manipulation and applications. |
 | English Country Dancing | Members to experience enjoyable and lively sessions of country dancing - no experience necessary, tuition given for all dances. |
 | Family History | A group for researching Family History. Different topics covered at each meeting. (Please note:- small admission charge). |

| Film Studies | This group disusses a wide range of modern and classic films at Joy Crowe's home on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 1.30pm. |

| Gardening | We enjoy learning from presentations on various subjects. (Small admission charge.) |

| Garden Visits | During the warmer months there are normally two or more visits to gardens open in Nottinghamshire each month, plus coach trips to the Harrogate Spring Flower Show in April. |

| Holidays (Home & Abroad) | Mansfield U3A organises various weekend breaks and holidays throughout the year for all U3A members. |
 | Introduction to Internet use | A new group for members who want to save money and reduce their susceptibililty to Altzheimer's Disease. No computer or experience needed and we'll try to make it fun. |

| Luncheon Club | An outing each month to various dining pubs and restaurants in the area. 12.00 for 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm on the fourth Thursday every month. Programme suits every taste and budget.

| Music 2 | We enjoy listening to and discussing a wide range of music covering classical through to modern vocals; themed sessions; individual presentations; etc. |

| Classical Music 1 | All types of classical music, with a different composer or subject each month chosen in turn by the members. Regular visits to live performances, operas, etc.

| Classical Music 2 | Members listen to the music of a different composer each month chosen from each main period of classical music. Regular visits to live performances, operas, etc.

 | Popular Music Appreciation | Members bring varied music of their choice to be played and enjoyed. Swing (Big Band), Traditional Jazz, Modern Jazz, Folk, Country & Western, Rock & Roll, Classical, easy listening, music from the shows and even a litte bit of comedy ... |

| Pudding Club | Twelve members meet to enjoy sampling three puddings made by members in turn. Outings to enjoy eating without cooking are always a great success too - especially with male visitors! |

| Reading 1 | We meet at Peter Dawson's home on the third Thursday of the month, 2 to 4pm, to discuss a different book each month. |

| Reading 2 | Group members are supplied with the same book then meet on the third Tuesday afternoon each month from 2 to 4 pm for discussion. |

| Science and Technical
| Members share their knowledge of scientific and technical matters in a non-academic manner and enjoy a programme of visits to Sci-Tech venues.

| Scrabble | We play to enjoy the game but not too seriously as to make it hard work! |
 | Singing for fun | The group for members who like to sing, or want to learn how to, under the guidance of Suzy Fell, who sang with Cantamus for 10 years. |
 | Sunday Lunchers | A new group for members who sometimes feel at a loose end on the fourth Sunday of every month and fancy a friendly lunch and chat. |

| Tai Chi | Tai Chi is well established as a gentle form of exercise, suitable for all ages but especially so for the not-so-young as it helps with mobility. Our teacher holds the national Master qualification. |

| Treasures | A group for seeking collectable treasures at antique centres, fairs and auctions. Some coach outings to events. |

| Walking (Hikers) | All-day walks of 6 to 8 miles in Notts and Derbys on the first Thursday and the third Monday of each month, departing from Tesco car park off Oak Tree Lane, Mansfield, at 9.30 am prompt. |

| Walking (Intermediate) | A very friendly group that meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month to enjoy a 4-5 mile walk locally over easy territory. |

| Walking (Strolls) | On the second Wednesday of each month, a short local walk of around 2 miles at a leisurely pace. Starting at 10.30 am, with refreshments available at the end. |

| Whist | Meetings are on different Saturday evenings each month. Dates are given in the newsletter. To join, or for further details, please contact Edith Senior. |

| Wine Appreciation 2 | Our meetings are essentially to give members friendly, relaxed evenings, whilst, at the same time, fostering a desire to know more about good wine. A number of wines will be tasted. |

| Wine Appreciation 3 | The group meets at 7.30 pm on various Tuesdays in members' homes. As for Wine Appreciation 2, a number of wines will be tasted and discussed at each meeting. |
