Digital World

If you own a digital camera, this new Mansfield U3A group will try to help you make the best use of it and also help you to expand your interests in photography.

It doesn't matter if you just take family snaps with a pocket point-and-shoot, a more-advanced compact, bridge or super-zoom, or have a semi-professional DSLR because you'll take better pictures if you know how and when to use all its features, learning from others.
Mansfield U3A Digital photography group
We meet twice a month on the 2nd Friday afternoons, discussing camera settings and de-mystifying photographic jargon, and on the 4th, sharing tips about basic editing of members' submissions,

You don't need a computer as we have the use of ten modern ones and we'll show you how to use them to do anything you want, even if you've not used one before.

Software available includes Picasa, an easy-to-use, free photo-management and editing suite that is on many home computers, Flickr Uploader - for quick on-line back-up and photo-sharing, Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 - a powerful tool for advanced editing and the industry leader - Photoshop Elements.

Please let me know if you would like to become involved, either as a learner and/or as a mentor if you have any experience in this field as we will all learn more, faster, sharing knowledge.
