Sylvia Slack
Chairman
Sylvia joined Mansfield and District U3A on it's formation 10 years ago. She is leader of our Intermediate Walks group and enjoys their regular 4-mile walks. She is also leader of the Pudding club. She joined the committee 2 years ago and has been Chairman since March 2009.
Carole Justice Carole Justice
Business Secretary
Carole joined our U3A in April 2009 and the committee at the last AGM. She hopes to continue using the good practices established by previous secretaries.
Carole is an active participant in the Art Appreciation and Reading Groups and also attends Beginners' French at Hucknall U3A.
Jean Dalton Jean Dalton
Minutes Secretary
Jean joined in 2009 and became Minutes Secretary at the last AGM. She is interested in Theatre Visits and the Luncheon Club and sings with several choral groups outside the U3A. Her worklife was in business administration and management.
Avril Avril McGee
Membership Secretary
Avril has been a member of Mansfield & District U3A for 3 years; she joined the committee in January 2009 and became Membership Secretary in September 2009.
She is joint co-ordinator of the Gardening Group and a regular member of the Tai Chi Group.

Pauline Boucher Pauline Boucher
Treasurer
Pauline has been a U3A member for 4 years and our Treasurer for 3. She is co-ordinator for the Art Appreciation Group and a keen member of Wine Group Three. Her career background includes over 40 years book keeping and secretarial work.
lynis Benford Glynis Benford
Newsletter Editor
Glynis joined Mansfield U3A in 2001 and is active in several interest groups, such as Family History, Holidays and Gardening. She enjoyed her time as Web Editor and has now resumed editorship of our newsletter after a break.
David_Ling David Ling
Website Editor
David trained as a mechanical engineer and had career in technical marketing and PR. He joined in 2007, is leader of our Luncheon Club and a regular participant in the SciTech group. He has been Website Editor since June 2009 and often has a camera at the ready.
Mike Allen Mike Allen Mike is a retired teacher whose aim is to bring the same level of discipline and intellect to the committee that you find in many schools today. Or not, as the case may be.

He is leader of our Theatre Visits group.
Fred Brown Fred Brown Fred has drifted through life as a footballer, soldier and finally as a police officer. He has been a member since 2000.

He is now knackered but very happy with life.
Pat Prescott George Powell George served 35 years with Mansfield Brewery as Wages and Salaries Supervisor and joined Mansfield U3A 5 years ago. He enjoys participating in our Garden Visits, Gardening, Holidays, Wine Appreciation and Sci Tech groups and also likes DIY and walking.
Pat Precott Pat Prescott Pat is a retired midwife, has been a member for 9 years and was the founder of our bookstall.
John Troop John Troop John joined Mansfield U3A in 2007 and as been a committee member since 2008.

He is a member of the Luncheon Club, Family History, Garden Visits and Holiday groups.

Max qualified as an interior designer, but has been retired now for eight years.

He and his wife are enthusiastic members of the Family History Group.
